4:30 AM the importance of vision with Anthony Iannarino – episode #5 (continued)

This article is a continuing summary of my conversation with Anthony Iannarino.
4:30 AM
That’s when Anthony gets out of bed. Sometimes he even wakes up before his alarm. Are you kidding me? No, it’s true. That also means that he shuts his eyes at about 9:30 PM.
The morning hours, when no-one else in the house is awake, is the best time for him to get his work done. He knows that he’s the most creative in the morning hours. That’s why he spends that time writing. As he puts it, “I’m a writer. So, that’s what I do.”
I was with one of the foremost experts on sales and we have known each other for three or four years. So, I was finally getting to ask him any question that I wanted.
“What advice do you have for me?” His response was simple, but not as easy to do. Anthony told me, “read a lot and take good notes on what I read”.
I’ve done that in the past but have gotten away from it. But there’s more. He went on to say, “figure out what you don’t know, then learn more about it”.
In a conversation about a year ago, he had told me that I need to work on my executive presence. That stuck with me, so I asked him what he meant by that. He said, “you want to be liked”. Of course I do. Doesn’t everyone? Evidently not. At lease Anthony doesn’t care. He’s secure in his own skin.
That’s the other thing that he told me, “you need be grateful for your flaws”. Now I make it a point. everyday I post how thankful I am for my flaws. It’s a constant reminder of what I have been given. And how I need to be thankful for that.
Don’t we all need to be more thankful?
