I lost my wallet

Read to the end for a special offer!
It was just like any other day. I went into the school, came home, fell asleep in the chair. Connie then woke me up and I want to bed.
The next day, Connie got an early start. So I “doddled” a little more than normal and went downstairs to start my day.
Every day starts off with back-stretches, coffee (black), breakfast (usually oatmeal), and I look outside like a puppy waiting for a walk.
But this time, something was missing, I hadn’t had my coffee yet. “That was it!” I thought to myself.
I crumbled up some cash and put it in my wallet. Made my way to the local doughnut shop and got a cruller and more coffee.
I made my way back home and took a shower, changed my clothes, and headed for my office… in the basement.
Everything was fine until I went to buy something online. Huh, I wonder were my wallet is? Oh well. I don’t have to have it right now. I’ve used this card so much I remember the security code. (Probably not a good thing)
It’ll turn up. It always does.
This went on for a little while, so I said something to Connie (maybe a mistake), “hey, have you seen my wallet?”. She answered to the negative and went about her day, or so thought.
Later that afternoon, she asked me “Hey, have you found your wallet?”. I gave he the negative answer and went about my day. It’ll turn up. It always does.
She asked me what was in it. I told her the truth. All of my credit cards and 2-$100 bills. She had been telling me to spend the big bills. But I liked keeping them with me. Probably an ego thing. But, I could see her wheels turning. She was pissed.
How could I be so nonchalant? Our expenses are tight. That $200 needed more credit than what I gave it.
It’ll turn up. It always does.
I called my car service to see if I had left it in the car. They’d get back to me in 48 hours. It’s been over a week and I still haven’t heard from them.
I put out an All-Points-Bulletin (APB) at the school. Nothing there, but I did get a few “snickers”. It’s the kids that always put out APB’s. They are visually impaired. Wait, so am I. Maybe that’s why Connie wasn’t so hard on me.
Finally, 48 hors later, I found it. It was in the comforter at the foot of our bed. Buried. I only saw it because I felt it. A person with two good eyes could have missed it, as well.
Connie still seems upset. We could have lost $200. I, on the other hand, wasn’t quite as upset. In my eyes in wouldn’t do any good.
Who was right?
We both were for who we are. There is no right or wrong answer.
We all have something, we’re dealing with. Sometimes we misplace important items. Sometimes we have bigger life issues.
I’m no different than you. I’m just brave enough to tell you about it.
You have a disability. We all do. Sometimes they’re seen. Sometimes they’re not.
