The 7 Myths for why people get Stuck – #1
I’m taking a bit of a departure from my regular blog. MY HOPE with these type of posts, is that I can add more value to more of my readers (a.k.a. tribe…you).
This is first in a series of posts regarding the 7 Myths that keep people stuck.
Who else grew up at 4347 Portage Road in Wayne, OH? Anyone, with the exception of my brothers and sisters? No? Well, let me tell a common story. It’s the story of the individual. You see, no one person has the same story as another. We’re all created different in God’s image. We all have our own story.
Almost as important, we also have stories that we’ve been telling ourselves or others have been telling us. We’re hearing things like….
Myth #1 – “No Pain, no gain”.
The key point from this is “Hard Work”.
The assumption that’s false is “Pain produces promotion”
The truth is “Choosing the right Pain produces promotion”
The real story is that I know plenty of people that work their butt off every day and never reach their full potential. They go to their grave with THAT inside them. Think about some of the people in your life that fit that description. We’ll never know what truly was in them. I had a friend tell me once that some of us aren’t supposed to know our purpose until we get to heaven. Maybe that’s true, but I for one want to do everything within my power to exercise that muscle.
Myth … Busted!
