The 7 Myths why people get Stuck – #4
This is the fourth in a series of posts regarding the 7 Myths that keep people stuck.
As I’ve said before, we all have our own story. None are less important than others
We also have stories that we’ve been telling ourselves or others have been telling us. We’re hearing things like….
Myth #4 – “No guts, no glory.”
The key point from this is “Risk”
The assumption that’s false is “Risk will yield reward”
The truth is “The right risk at the right time in the right way with the right people will yield reward.”
The real story is that I know people who takes all kinds of risks and simply take recklessness with them wherever they go. It’s true that, in his day, Evil Knievel was rewarded for his risk. Where did it get him? Bernie Madoff risked everything. For a while he was a financial giant. Where is he now? It’s not to say you shouldn’t ever take a risk. That’s what I’m doing now. There’s a risk that this may offend someone. Suffice to say that not all risk taking yields a reward.
Myth … BUSTED!
