Myth #5 – “The early bird gets the worm”

The key point from this is “Scarcity”

The assumption that’s false is that there is only one worm.

The truth is “A mindset of scarcity, fear and competition will produce a toxic attitude of threat and defensiveness”

The real story is I know people who rush to take first and are in last place because of it. I know a sales representative who always rushed to get the open accounts. He thought that “if I don’t rush in, someone else will.” Now others have seen him exhibit that behavior and now those people are not as inclined to work with him. Who wants to be, THAT guy?

Myth … BUSTED!
