You’re invited

Someone just found out that he has COVID. This is a horrible diagnosis to get. However, it was only made worse when his own mother told him if he went on a ventilator, she wouldn’t cry.
She knew that he hadn’t been vaccinated and was unsympathetic.
Have you noticed this type of discrimination?
This is a sad statement for the world we live in. You can’t feel sympathy for your own son that’s fighting for his life.
This is one of the reasons why we’re having a retreat. The theme is to Lead, Love and Learn from people that are different from you.
This goes for Vaxxers vs. non-Vaxxers. That will be one topic of discussion. Other topics include disabilities (seen and unseen). Cerebral palsy, Downs Syndrome, Quadrapalegic, Mental-illness, this list goes on.
Join me for this virtual retreat on Friday, January 28th, by clicking the link below.
We hope to see you there!

I don’t believe less tolerance of stupidity is discrimination. If her son made a conscious decision to bungee jump off a bridge and then said he didn’t need to put the bungee cord around his ankles and then jumped and died, it wouldn’t be discrimination if she didn’t cry. Other than tears, she isn’t denying him anything. She isn’t preventing him from living a life to his fullest potential. There isn’t discrimination. Lack of empathy for acts of stupidity isn’t discrimination.
Quoting two great philosophers,
“Pity the fool!”
“Stupid Is as stupid does.”
I hear what you’re saying, but you would be remorseful for their pain, agony, and potential loss of life.
